Hampshire Homechoice

Affordable social housing in East Hampshire, Eastleigh, Havant, Test Valley and Winchester is in very high demand, with 9,899 households currently on the Hampshire Home Choice Housing Register. Because supply is limited, Hampshire Home Choice aims to ensure the process is fair, transparent and easy to understand.

Hampshire Home Choice will:

• Provide affordable housing options for people who cannot access open‑market housing.
• Ensure 100% of social and affordable rent lettings are made through the scheme (with some local exceptions).
• Help applicants make informed choices about where they want to live and the types of homes they wish to be considered for.
• Offer a scheme that is fair and accessible to all applicants, while providing a safety net for people who are homeless or have urgent housing needs.
